Vinified and aged entirely in amphora, the 2022 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is loaded with delicate character. For all intents and purposes, it's a red wine, pouring a deep, translucent garnet hue in the glass. Complex, finessed and polished, it sizzles with spiced black cherry, lavender, cinnamon, crushed rose petals and riverstone minerality. A gauze-like web of fine tannins sets across the palate, holding the wine together. There's such clarity and delineation here and a long, gentle, floral finish to boot.
